WeissCannon Silverstring 12m Set

WEISSCANNON SILVERSTRING

WeissCannon Silverstring is the brand's signature string and widely considered the closest affordable stand-in for Luxilon ALU Power. It is a smooth, firm co-polyester with a clean, connected feel, precise control and strong durability. It comes in grey.

It is a premium-feeling control poly at a mid-range price — the string players reach for when they want the ALU Power experience without the ALU Power cost.

On-Court Performance

The stringbed is firm and precise with a crisp, connected response and a low, controlled trajectory.

Tension maintenance and durability are strong for the price, so it stays consistent through its life.

Power is low and comfort is moderate — string it toward the low end, especially in a full bed.

Who Should Use It

• ALU Power users looking for a cheaper alternative

• Advanced players who want a firm, precise control poly

• Flat and all-court hitters who supply their own pace

• Hybrid users wanting a crisp, stable poly component

• 4.0+ players

Who Should Not Use It

• Players with arm sensitivity who need real comfort

• Players who need help generating depth and power

• Heavy topspin players who want sharp shaped bite

• Beginners

Hybrid Setups & Performance Adjustments

Power
String low, or pair with a multifilament in the mains, since it adds nothing to depth.

Control
A full bed at mid-to-high tension gives a very low, controlled flight.

Spin
Pair with a shaped poly in the mains for bite; Silverstring is a control string.

Comfort
Firm — drop 1–2 kg or hybrid with a soft cross.

Tension Stability
One of its strengths — restring every 15–20 hours.

Durability
Strong; a thicker gauge extends it.
