TECNIFIBRE XR3

Tecnifibre XR3 is a multifilament tuned for a blend of control, feel and comfort. It plays with a firm feel at impact and delivers ball speed and control with above-average durability for the category, alongside good pop and touch. It is offered in a single colour.

It is the control-and-durability multifilament of the range — firmer and more precise than TGV, less plush and powerful than X-One Biphase.

On-Court Performance

The feel at impact is firm for a multifilament, which gives clear feedback and a lower, more repeatable trajectory than a soft comfort multi.

It delivers ball speed and control together — you get pop when you swing out, but the string keeps the ball in the court.

Comfort is still solid — the polyamide core and PU keep shock manageable — but this is a control-leaning string, not a plush one.

Durability is above average for a multifilament, which makes it a sensible choice for players who like multi comfort but break soft strings quickly.

Who Should Use It

  • Players who want multifilament comfort with a firmer, more controlled feel

  • All-court players who value feel and touch with control

  • Players with mild arm sensitivity who dislike vague, powerful multis

  • Players who found TGV too soft or NRG2 too powerful

  • Multifilament players who need more durability

Who Should Not Use It

  • Players who want the plushest, most powerful multifilament feel

  • Heavy topspin baseliners who rely on bite

  • Advanced players who need a true poly low trajectory

  • Players chasing maximum spin

Hybrid Setups & Performance Adjustments

Power
String toward the low end of the range, or pair with gut in the mains.

Control
Already the control multi — string a full bed toward the upper range.

Spin
Put a shaped poly in the mains and XR3 in the crosses.

Comfort
Full bed at moderate tension; drop tension for more give.

Tension Stability
Good for a multifilament — string mid-range.

Durability
Above average for a multi — hybrid with a poly main only if you still break it.
