TECNIFIBRE RED CODE

Tecnifibre Red Code (Pro Red Code) is a softer, more comfortable co-polyester built for players who want poly control without the harsh, brittle feel. It is round, forgiving for the category and easy to play with, at an accessible price. It is offered in a single colour.

It is Tecnifibre's arm-friendly control poly — softer than Ice Code and Razor Code, without the shaped bite of Black Code.

On-Court Performance

The feel is one of the more comfortable in a full poly. It takes the edge off contact while still keeping a controlled, low-powered response.

Control is the focus. The round profile keeps the trajectory predictable and the launch angle moderate, so it suits players who want to swing freely.

Spin is available on committed swings but modest — this is a control-and-comfort string, not a spin tool.

Playability duration is reasonable for a softer poly, though it loosens gradually and should be restrung before it turns erratic.

Who Should Use It

  • Players who want poly control without a harsh feel

  • Players trying a full bed of polyester for the first time

  • Intermediate and advanced club players with mild arm sensitivity

  • All-court players who value a comfortable, predictable response

  • Players who found Ice Code or Razor Code too firm

Who Should Not Use It

  • Players who want maximum spin and ball bite

  • Big hitters chasing the lowest, most locked-down trajectory

  • Players with serious arm injuries who need a multifilament

  • Beginners with compact swings

Hybrid Setups & Performance Adjustments

Power
String at the low end of the range or pair with a lively multifilament in the mains.

Control
Use a full bed toward the upper tension window.

Spin
Put a shaped poly in the mains and Red Code in the crosses.

Comfort
Already the softer control poly — hybrid with a multifilament cross for more.

Tension Stability
String mid-range; avoid very low tensions.

Durability
Move to a thicker gauge for frequent breakers.
