SOLINCO CONFIDENTIAL SOFT 12M SET

SOLINCO CONFIDENTIAL SOFT

Solinco Confidential Soft retains the square-shaped precision and spin of the original Confidential but introduces a softer, more forgiving construction for added comfort and easier depth. Developed as part of the Prizm Project line, this electric pink version delivers enhanced pocketing and a slightly livelier response while maintaining the controlled DNA that defines the Confidential family.

It bridges the gap between surgical control and modern comfort.

On-Court Performance

Confidential Soft keeps the controlled, spin-oriented character of the original while delivering a more accessible impact sensation.

The square profile continues to grip the ball effectively, producing heavy topspin and confident trajectory control. Compared to the standard Confidential, ball contact feels slightly longer, creating a pocketing effect that translates into easier depth and improved forgiveness on off-centre hits.

Power is more accessible. While still control-oriented, the Soft version adds a bit of liveliness off the string bed, making it less demanding during long baseline exchanges.

The feel remains connected and precise, but less “dry” than the original. Flat hitters may notice a tiny reduction in ultra-crisp feedback, but aggressive baseline players will appreciate the added tolerance and ball heaviness.

Durability and tension stability remain strong for a shaped co-poly, making it suitable for competitive play.

Who Should Use It

• Players who like Confidential but want more comfort

• Aggressive baseliners looking for added pocketing

• Players with high swing speed seeking spin and control

• Competitors who found the original too stiff

• Players transitioning from firm control polys

Who Should Not Use It

• Players seeking maximum firmness and ultra-dead control

• Flat hitters who prefer the crispest possible response

• Beginners looking for easy free power

• Players wanting the plush feel of a multifilament

Confidential Soft is ideal for players who want controlled aggression with improved comfort.

Hybrid Setups & Performance Adjustments

Power
Lower tension slightly or pair with a lively multifilament in the mains for additional depth.

Control
String toward the higher end of the recommended range for a firmer response.

Spin
Use in the mains to maximize bite and snapback from the square profile.

Comfort
Hybrid with natural gut or multifilament in the crosses for extra shock absorption.

Tension Stability
Stay within mid-range tension; soft polys may lose tension slightly faster than firmer versions.

Durability
Consider thicker gauges for heavy hitters or use as part of a poly-poly hybrid.
