Prince Synthetic Gut Duraflex 200m Reel

PRINCE SYNTHETIC GUT DURAFLEX

Prince Synthetic Gut Duraflex is the classic budget nylon string — a solid centre core wrapped in Duraflex-treated filaments for extra durability, giving a crisp, powerful, predictable response at a recreational price. It comes in gold.

It is the value all-rounder in Prince's range — firmer and more durable than the Premier multis, more comfortable and consistent than a co-polyester, and cheap enough to restring often.

On-Court Performance

The solid core gives a crisp, direct hit with more control than a soft multi and a lively, powerful pop.

The Duraflex wrap improves durability over plain synthetic gut, so it lasts a bit longer.

Comfort is moderate, and tension slides at the usual nylon rate, so it plays best when fresh.

Who Should Use It

• Recreational and club players who want a dependable, affordable string

• Players who restring often and want predictable performance

• Juniors and parents managing string costs

• Stringers who need a solid default a notch above basic nylon

• Players who want more pop and control than a soft multi gives

Who Should Not Use It

• Players with arm injuries who need real comfort

• Advanced players who want control, spin or tension stability from the string

• Heavy topspin hitters

• Players who want a gut-like or premium-multi feel

Hybrid Setups & Performance Adjustments

Power
String mid-to-high if the ball runs long; the solid core is naturally lively.

Control
A full bed at mid-to-high tension keeps it predictable.

Spin
Pair with a shaped poly in the mains for bite; synthetic gut is a consistency string.

Comfort
Drop 1–2 kg, or cross with a soft multi, for a gentler bed.

Tension Stability
Nylon loses tension steadily — restring on a schedule.

Durability
Better than plain nylon thanks to Duraflex; hybrid with a poly if you still break it.
