On-Court Performance

ALU Power Rough offers a slightly more forgiving and elastic feel compared to the standard ALU Power. At impact, the response remains crisp and precise, but with added pocketing and comfort.

The textured surface increases friction with the ball, resulting in enhanced spin production and a heavier, more aggressive trajectory. Players with fast swings will benefit from improved access to topspin and better control over high-intensity shots.

Power is slightly higher than the classic ALU Power, making depth easier to generate. Control remains strong, although marginally reduced due to the increased elasticity and string movement.

Comfort is improved, especially on off-center hits, where vibrations are better absorbed. This makes the string more accessible for players who find traditional ALU Power too stiff.

Tension maintenance is solid in the early stages of play, but like most Luxilon strings, peak performance is best within the first hours. Durability is slightly reduced compared to the smooth version due to the rough texture.
