KIRSCHBAUM SUPERSMASH

Kirschbaum SuperSmash is the brand's classic stiff control poly — one of its oldest and most recognisable strings. It is firm, low-powered and durable, with good tension hold, built as a no-frills workhorse for flat, hard hitters and players who break everything else. It comes in orange.

It is the plain, firm control string in the range — similar in intent to Max Power but even more old-school in feel, and priced low.

On-Court Performance

The stringbed is stiff and low-powered, giving a very predictable, controlled response with a low trajectory.

Durability is a strength — the dense round co-poly resists notching and lasts well for a control string.

Tension maintenance is solid, so the string stays consistent through its playing life.

The firm feel is hard on the arm at high tension — this is not a comfort string, and most players string it lower or hybrid it.

Hybrid Setups & Performance Adjustments

Power
String low, or pair with a multifilament or gut in the mains, since it adds nothing to depth.

Control
A full bed at mid-to-high tension is about as controlled as a round poly gets.

Spin
Pair with a shaped poly in the mains for bite; SuperSmash is a control-and-durability string.

Comfort
Stiff — drop tension noticeably or put it only in the crosses behind a soft main.

Tension Stability
One of its better traits — restring every 15–20 hours.

Durability
Already strong; the thicker gauge stretches it further.
