KIRSCHBAUM COMPETITION

Kirschbaum Competition is a power-and-comfort co-polyester at a low price. It is softer and livelier than Max Power, giving easier depth and a gentler feel, aimed at players who want an affordable poly that does not punish the arm. It comes in yellow.

It is the value power poly in the range — more forgiving and powerful than Max Power and SuperSmash, less refined and durable than the premium control strings.

On-Court Performance

The stringbed is fairly soft with reasonable free depth, so it does not demand a full, fast swing to get the ball going.

Comfort is decent for a co-polyester, which is the main reason to pick it over the firmer Kirschbaum polys.

Control is moderate; the trajectory is a little higher than a stiff control poly.

Tension hold is fair rather than exceptional, and durability is average — this is a budget string, not a premium one.

A full bed at low-to-mid tension is one of the gentler co-poly setups.
