HEAD LYNX

HEAD Lynx is the core shaped co-polyester in HEAD's range — a five-sided monofilament that balances spin, control and a connected feel at a medium-firm stiffness. It is one of HEAD's most versatile polys, offered in the widest colour selection: anthracite grey, green, yellow, violet, blue, red, pink and white.

It is the all-round shaped poly, sitting between the soft Lynx Touch and the firmer, more aggressive Lynx Tour.

On-Court Performance

At impact the feel is medium-firm and direct, with clean feedback and no mushiness. It is more forgiving than Lynx Tour but still clearly a control string.

The five edges grip the ball for reliable spin. Snapback is good, so you can brush up on the ball and get shape without exaggerating your swing.

Control is strong and the trajectory predictable. The string suits players who want to swing freely and trust the ball to come down inside the lines.

Tension maintenance is solid for a shaped co-poly, and durability is good at the common 1.25 mm gauge.

Hybrid Setups & Performance Adjustments

Power
String at the lower end of the range or pair with a multifilament in the mains.

Control
Use a full bed toward the upper tension window.

Put Lynx in the mains at mid-range tension to let the shaped profile snap back.

Hybrid with a soft multifilament in the crosses and lower tension slightly.
