HEAD HAWK TOUCH ROUGH

HEAD Hawk Touch Rough is the spin version of Hawk Touch. It keeps the co-extruded construction — a more elastic outer layer around a control core — and adds a textured, roughened surface that grips the ball on brushing contact. It comes in a single colour.

It sits between the soft, round Hawk Touch and the firmer Hawk Rough — for players who want Hawk Touch comfort with more bite.

On-Court Performance

The roughened surface is the difference you notice first. On topspin and slice the string holds the ball a fraction longer and adds rotation that the round Hawk Touch does not give.

The feel stays on the soft side for a poly. Impact is dampened, off-centre hits are forgiving, and the ball pockets well before it leaves the stringbed.

Control remains the main character. The trajectory is predictable and the response repeatable, so you can swing fully and shape the ball with confidence.

Power is moderate, slightly above the original Hawk. The textured coating smooths out with play, so spin potential tapers before the string breaks, and tension loss is typical for a soft poly.

Lower tension slightly or pair with a lively multifilament in the crosses.

Control
Use a full bed toward the top of the tension range.

String on the low side, or cross it with a soft multifilament.
