Babolat Pro Last is built for one thing: surviving string-breakers. It is a firm round co-polyester with a dense construction that resists notching and abrasion, giving a control-first stringbed that holds up far longer than a shaped spin poly. It comes in black and grey.

It is the most durable, most control-oriented poly in Babolat's range — the opposite end of the spectrum from the soft, powerful RPM Soft, and a plain round profile rather than a spin shape.

On-Court Performance

Durability is exceptional. The round profile and dense co-poly resist sawing and notching, so chronic breakers who destroy a set of RPM Blast in an hour can get several sessions from Pro Last.

The stringbed is firm and low-powered, which gives a very predictable, controlled response for players who supply their own power.

Spin is modest — the round profile has no edges to bite, so shape comes from technique rather than from the string.

Feel is stiff and a touch board-like; it is not a comfort string, and a full bed at high tension is demanding on the arm.

Power
String low, or use a multifilament or gut in the mains, since Pro Last adds nothing to depth.

Control
A full bed at mid-to-high tension is about as controlled and predictable as poly gets.

Spin
Pair with a shaped poly in the mains if you want spin; Pro Last is a durability and control string.

Comfort
Stiff — drop tension noticeably, or put it only in the crosses behind a soft main.

Tension Stability
Holds tension relatively well for a co-poly thanks to the dense build; still restring periodically.

Durability
This is the whole point of the string — even the 1.25 gauge outlasts most polys.
