Particularly forgiving on off-center hits, it is one of the most comfortable monofilaments from the Head brand.

Our Test on the Head Sonic Pro String

When we strung the racket, we felt that it was very soft and therefore expected a powerful string.

On the court, this is confirmed as we feel the trampoline effect of the Head Sonic Pro string to catapult the ball. Power is the key word for this string, which also provides a lot of comfort. On off-center hits, it performs wonderfully and offers a very consistent response.

However, control is lacking and is not its strong point. The ability to generate spin is also a weakness as we did not generate a lot of spin.

The effective lifespan of the Sonic Pro is average for monofilaments. After several hours of play, we felt a loss of feeling.

This is a string that excels on control rackets or on closed string patterns.
