We tested the racket with the Solinco Hyper G Round string tensioned at 22 kilos.
From the first strikes, we feel that we are on a rather powerful racket that still provides a certain amount of control. Indeed, we feel a sense of flexibility when striking that offers a good ball touch. The string pattern of 16x19 allows for easy spin even if it is not a racket that provides as much spin as a Head Extreme. We would have appreciated better access to spin so that the ball bounces more on the ground during explosive strikes.
At the net, its low balance is felt and allows for good racket handling. The ball touch is remarkable and will appeal to players who like to take the lead at the net.
Finally, on the serve, we feel that this Boom MP Alternate 2024 is very complete. We were able to easily obtain power with good accuracy and with the desired spin.
It is ultimately a complete racket, versatile, slightly focused on power that will also provide a very good ball touch.
