With the Wilson Triniti balls, the American brand has decided to embark on the creation of an ecological tennis ball that does not require pressurization in a plastic or metal tube.

To be able to provide a pressure-free ball with bounce quality equivalent to that of a pressure ball, Wilson worked with the Dow Chemical Company to integrate a low-density plastomer into the existing rubber compound of the ball's core. This gave the product the desired bounce and play characteristics without the usual amount of pressure. The new core has a thicker wall, but its lightweight structure allows the ball to play like before.

The Triniti ball is also equipped with a new "stretch felt", nicknamed STR Felt, which is 50% more flexible than standard tennis ball felt, giving the player more sensation on contact.
