Stringing is easy, the string glides well through the traverses, and we can feel the string's edges, which herald a good spin.

On the first strokes, we feel a more pronounced firmness than the Black Code and consequently better control. The spin is very good, and we liked the "scratchy" feel of the string combined with this firmness on fast swings. Hard-hitting lifters should enjoy this winning cocktail.

Ultimately, the Tecnifibre 4S differs from its big brother and will not appeal to the same audience. Black Code is a pentagonal monofilament that's supple, powerful, forgiving and comfortable, with plenty of spin.

The Tecnifibre 4S string is more on the control side (though with a good reserve of power), with effects, more geared towards competitors.

It lies somewhere between a Black Code and a Razor Code.
