TECNIFIBRE 4S

Tecnifibre 4S (Black Code 4S) is a square-section co-polyester built purely for spin. Four sharp edges grab the ball on brushing contact, in a firm, durable construction that keeps the profile sharp. It is offered in a single colour.

It is Tecnifibre's most aggressive spin poly — firmer and more grabby than the pentagonal Black Code.

On-Court Performance

The square edges bite the ball hard, producing heavy topspin, sharp dip and aggressive kick. On full swings the ball drops sharply inside the baseline.

The feel is firm and direct — this is a tournament-style spin string that rewards committed technique rather than a comfortable all-rounder.

Control is strong for a spin-first string once you adapt to the extra dip, and off-centre bite stays consistent.

As with any four-sided poly the edges round off over time and spin potential fades before the string breaks — restring on a schedule.

String at the low end of the range or pair with a multifilament in the mains.

Control
Use a full bed toward the upper tension window.

Put 4S in the mains at mid-range tension to maximise edge grip and snapback.

Hybrid with a soft poly or multifilament in the crosses and avoid high tension.

Tension Stability
String mid-range and restring on a schedule.
