Msv Focus Hex Soft is a black, hexagonal monofilament. Like the Msv Focus Hex, the Soft uses the same structure to maintain its excellent spin performance. However, it has greater elasticity to provide a greater reserve of power. It's still predominantly controllable, but the softer feel on striking greatly enhances playing comfort and off-center tolerance. All in all, less vibration and more playability for this version.

Power and control

The Msv Focus Hex Soft string, with its hexagonal structure and firm feel on strike, offers players a good dose of control. We've found that this doesn't come at the expense of power, which is still greater than with the classic version.

Spin

Our first hits showed us that this is a reference that stands out for its above-average ball grip. The hexagonal structure generates a very high spin rate when lift is required.

Comfort and forgiveness

The MSV Focus Hex SOFT string emits less vibration than the Focus Hex version. The string is slightly less rigid, making it softer to hit and therefore more comfortable. This evolution makes it more pleasant to play.

This string isn't the best in terms of forgiveness, as off-center errors are rarely forgiven.

Service life and tension hold

Yield tends to decrease over time, but remains acceptable for a semi-rigid monofilament. Durability is within the norm.

Sensation / feel / stiffness

The string is rather stiff, so the feel when you hit it is straightforward and ball touch is not the predominant factor.
