DUNLOP EXPLOSIVE

Dunlop Explosive is a semi-rigid co-polyester built around power and comfort — a firm core with a heat-treated cover that keeps some flex, so it does not feel as dead as a hard control poly. It comes in grey and a red colourway, with the higher-spec Explosive Tour for players who want more control.

It is the all-round poly in Dunlop's Explosive family, with Bite chasing spin, Speed chasing control, and Tour offering a more refined, control-oriented version of this string.

On-Court Performance

The stringbed gives back reasonable pace for a poly, so it helps with depth while keeping poly control.

The heat-treated cover keeps a little flex, making it more comfortable than a stiff control poly.

Control is moderate and spin is limited by the round profile; Explosive Tour tightens both.
