It is round, crisp and low-powered, prioritising directional control and tension stability over feel or pop, and it plays a touch more aggressively than Poly Tour Pro. It comes in black and grey.

It sits between Poly Tour Pro and the shaped spin strings — more crispness and control than Pro, without the full spin focus of Spin or Rev.

On-Court Performance

At impact the response is crisper and more rigid than Poly Tour Pro. The stringbed feels firm and locked-down, with a very low, flat launch on flat and drive shots.

Control and precision are the priorities. Big hitters can accelerate through the ball with confidence that it will not sail long.

Spin is slightly higher than Poly Tour Pro but still modest — the round profile is not built to grab the ball aggressively.

Tension stability is excellent, which is why it is popular as a hybrid main or cross alongside softer strings. It is not a comfortable string and rewards a relaxed grip and sound technique.

Who Should Use It

Advanced players and big hitters who want maximum directional control

Flat, first-strike baseliners

Players who found Poly Tour Pro slightly too muted or low

Players building a control-focused hybrid

Frequent string breakers who want tension stability

Who Should Not Use It

Players who want spin and ball bite (choose Spin or Rev)

Players who need free depth from the string

Players with arm sensitivity

Beginners and players with compact swings

Hybrid Setups & Performance Adjustments

Power
String at the low end of the range, or pair with gut or a multifilament in the mains.

Control
Use a full bed toward the top of the tension window for the tightest trajectory.

Spin
Pair a shaped poly (Spin or Rev) in the mains with Strike in the crosses.

Comfort
Hybrid with a soft multifilament in the crosses and lower tension.

Tension Stability
Among the most stable Yonex polys — a strong hybrid partner.

Durability
Move to a thicker gauge for heavy hitters.

Technical Specifications

Typology:
Monofilament

Shape:
Round

Composition:
High-modulus polyester monofilament

Available Colours:
Black / Grey

Available Gauges:
1.25 mm

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2061/2235/files/43428_7837f9b9-9929-45f0-a9d7-89f713407514.jpg?v=1788343320
