head-reflex-mlt-12m-set
HEAD Reflex MLT 12m Set

HEAD REFLEX MLT

HEAD Reflex MLT is one of HEAD's most comfortable multifilaments — 1,300 fine fibres bonded with a flexible polyurethane resin for a soft, forgiving response and a generous sweetspot. It is a natural-gut-style feel at a fraction of the price, offered in natural.

It is HEAD's comfort-and-power multifilament, softer and more forgiving than the control-leaning Velocity MLT and RIP Control.

On-Court Performance

Comfort is the defining feature. Shock on off-centre hits is minimal, even in a stiff racquet or dense pattern, and the string is very kind to the arm.

For all its elasticity it does not play uncontrollably powerful. Depth comes easily, but you can tune tension to lean the string toward power or toward control.

Spin is the weak point. The slick, low-friction surface helps a little, but a multifilament will not grab and rotate the ball like a poly.

Durability is average for a soft multi — fine for touch and all-court players, short-lived for heavy poly-style hitters.

Who Should Use It

Players with arm, wrist, elbow or shoulder sensitivity

Players who want natural-gut comfort without the price

Touch and all-court players who value feel and a big sweetspot

Players in stiff racquets or dense string patterns

Developing players who want easy depth

Who Should Not Use It

Heavy topspin players who rely on string bite

Frequent string breakers

Advanced players who want a locked-down, low trajectory

Players chasing maximum control

Hybrid Setups & Performance Adjustments

Power
Already powerful — raise tension slightly if depth control is an issue.

Control
String toward the upper tension range, or use a poly in the crosses.

Spin
Put a shaped poly in the mains and Reflex MLT in the crosses for comfort with more bite.

Comfort
Full bed at moderate tension is the most arm-friendly setup HEAD offers.

Tension Stability
Multifilaments hold tension well; string mid-range and expect a long, gradual softening.

Durability
Hybrid with a poly in the mains, or accept more frequent restrings.

Technical Specifications

Typology:
Multifilament

Shape:
Round

Composition:
Polyamide multifilament (1,300 fibres) with polyurethane resin

Available Gauges:
1.25 / 1.30 / 1.35 / 1.40 mm
